Oct. 10, 1969 - Britain's New Electric Car - The Enfield 465: The Enfield 465 - new electric car announced by a new motor manufacturer - Enfield Automotive, which is itself a member of the Enfield Group. The car is a 2+2 seater with a range of 35 miles or upwards per battery charge, and a top speed of 40mph. Designed primarily for town and industrial use, it is extremely lively and manoeuvrable for very economical in operation. The car is now in pilot production, and will be airfreighted this weekend to Phoenix, Arizona, to represent Britain at an International Symposium on Electric Vehicles
