Jan. 14, 1970 - Carroll Baker and Michael Bryant in Rain.: Carroll Baker plays Sadie Thompson and Michael Bryant plays Alfred Davidson, in a BBC television production of Somerset Maugham's famous short story Rain. It is one of a new series of Maugham stories to be transmitted in colour on BBC-2 later in the year. Carroll Baker has starred in such outstanding film success as Baby Doll, The Carpetbaggers etc. and Michael Bryant is one of Britain's busiest and most respected actors.
