Mar. 24, 1956 - An early work of Benedikt Witz recovered in Bavaria. It is the statue of a saint. In a small hole in the head of the figure was found a paper with the content: Me-Johann Benedikt Witz sculptor and constabler at Konigshoffn near Grabfeld August 24th 1749 present me and my wife to lord's respect. Dead and alive with heart and all thoughts Jesus Maria and Joseph
