Sep. 09, 1970 - Blessing For New Gaming club: Kensington's only gambling club allowed by the Gaming Board under its new Government regulation concerning gaming opens its doors this Sunday. It is the new de vers club at 7, Kensington High Street. This club, which is owned by four young local people, has been completed by the building staff in record time for this Sunday's opening, and to crown the efforts of John Birch, Conor Cavangh and the other workers who have been so industrious, Father Charles Acton of the local church of Our Lady of the Victories, blessed both their achievement and the future success and happiness of the premises and personnel.
