Catamaran trials on River Thames, London

Nov. 11, 1968 - Catamaran Trials On The River Thames: Trials of Britain's first passenger-carrying catamaran, the 180-seat MV Suerita are taking place on the Thames. The Suerita will go into service as a pleasure craft on the River Thames shortly before next Easter, operating between Greenwich Pier and Hampton Court, calling at Tower Pier and possibly Hammersmith. It will be available before then, after its trials, for private and education trips. These trips are expected to begin next month.
