Mar. 03, 1954 - Annual Pancake Race at Olney. A Kiss for the Winner. The annual Pancake race was won at Olney, bucks, today - by 32 year old Mrs. Joan Keech who covered the 415 yards in 72.2 secs (five secs slower than last years time). Mrs. Keech collapsed into the arms of the Vicar the Rev. Ronald Collins and said Never again'.. There were 13 starters watched by a crowd 5, 000 strong. Now they await a telephone call from Liberal, Kansas to see if their American Opponents - made better time..
