Dec. 12, 1956 - Chasuables for US - soldiers: The abbes M. Ludwiga Baumgartner (M! Ludwiga Baumgartner) presented in this days five chasuables to a group of American soldiers of vier officers, 16 NCO s, and 30 men crew of the 237th pioneer battalion of the US forces. The chasuables are a gift by the Zisterzienser nunnry in Thyrnau (Germany) for the help given to the nunnery by the soldiers lending a hand to do some work. Photo shows the abbess M. Ludwiga Baugartner of the nunnery Thyrnau presenting a chasuable to one of the soldiers who had done the hard work for the nuns
