Dec. 15 7th October 1981 Bergerac arrives on TV Bergerac a new thriller series, begins on BBC1 on Sunday, with John Nettles in the title role as Jim Bergerac, a young detective sergeant. Made entirely on location in Jersey, Bergerac works in the Bereau d'Entrangers, a police department which deals with non-Jersey born resident.
