Robertson (left) who is in command of operations against the Oman Rebels, and Colonel Stewart Carter, Commandant of the Trucial Oman Scouts, seen after hearing the news that Firq, Oman, had fallen to Loyal forces August 11th. following the collapse of Rebel resistance at Firq. The main attack was launched on Nizwa, Headquarters of the Imam of Oman, Ghalen Bin Ali and his rebel followers. The City fell without a shot and the insurgents either fled to the hills or pulled back to make a stand elsewhere
