Feb. 29 March 2nd And 3rd 1981: Attempt To Get The World Record In Permanent Magic: That's really magic'.. what is happening on the carnival days (March 2nd and 3rd.1981) in Rosenheim/West Germany: namely an attempt to get the world record in permanent magic. For 32 hours (after each hour he makes a pause of five minutes) Matthias Weissl will take rabbits out of a silk hat and conjure play cards out of his hand. Weil-Magiro, how the magician is called is called by his artistic name, will show about 1000 magic tricks in present of three impartial witnesses and a surely very numerous audience, for the whole magic will take place in the shop-window of a house of clothing in Rosenheim. The right reason of this attempt of a world record is, to come into the Guiness-book of records with this permanent magic lasting 32 hours. The profession of the 40-year-old Weil from Emmering near Ebersberg in Upper Bavaria, is to be a crane-driver, but since his youth, his passion is the magic, and in magician circles he is known because of his big reservoir of tricks - but most of all as an inventor of magic things'.
