Christening the George Washington carpet The International Carpet, Linoleum and Floorcoverings Fair and Carpet Production Exhibition opened this morning at Earls Court. Keystone Photo Shows: George Washington, thirty nine year old film stunt actor, in the costume of the original George Washington, christens the new Washington Weave Carpet watched by Mr. L. Simons, Sales Manager. It is a new type of plain carpet and will be used at the British Exhibition in New York. It is made by Shildon Co.
