1953 - Hocktide ceremony at Hungerford: The ancient traditional festival of Hocktide, was held today at Hungerford, Berks. In accordance with custom, the Tuttimen went through the town with their flower-decorated staves, to collect their dues a kiss or a penny from the women of the town. Photo shows Tutti-men, Mr. R.A. Bartholomew, receiving a kiss from Mrs. H.J. Sephton during today's ceremony
