Jun. 06, 1969 - Gibraltas Blockade.: Spain severed its final land link with the Rock of Gibraltar, exalling off the frontier at the coastal town of La Linea, and there were moving scenes at the Gibraltar side at midnight. A chorus of boos went up as the gates were slammed and locked by Spanish police. Photo shows workers who return each day from Gibraltar in the ferry - leaving the boat in Algeciras before the closure of the frontier
