Sep. 09, 1980 - Abseil Event at Hilton. The Bede House Association, under the sponsorship of the Sunday Observer, abseil down the side of the 328 feet Hilton International in Park Lane today. The Event was in aid of Telethon, the massive fund raising drive organized by Thames Television for local children's charities. A total of six participants, the youngest 16, took part. Photo shows: Mr. Ian Ward half way down the side of the Hilton Hotel in Park Lane today
