Charles Creed is expert in two kinds of Fashions; Modern Ladies and Historic Military Uniform: When he is not designing dresses for fashionable women, famous couturier Charles Creed, loves to get home and inspect his collection of 15, 000 model soldiers. They are ranged about in large glass-fronted cabinets, some in military army, massed battalions, or in set-pieces of military campaigns or life, with hand-painted background. Years of work have gone into the collection which has never before been photographed. Often a model soldier is bought by Creed who completely alters its paint to make the uniform fit in with one of sets which may not yet be complete. Charles Creed thinks his collection may be the finest of its kind in the world. Photo shows Charles Creed spends many happy hours in his home with paint brush, touching up and altering to increase the standards of accuracy on his many thousands of model soldiers
