Jan. 01, 1966 - Charles de Temple Finds His Golden Princess: Sculptor Charles de Temple's world wide search for the living face of Princess Medina, daughter of King Midas of Phrygia, ended recently -in Greece. For eighteen months Charles de Temple has searched, receiving more than six thousand photographs, and interviewing five hundred young women of many nationalities - hoping to find the mysterious beauty of the legendary princess who was turned to gold by her father's touch, and whose features he will immortalise in gold as an everlasting symbol of the moment when women, in her full beauty, is suspended for ever against the ravages of time. Rica Diallina, with her Mediterranean-expressiveness and Asian stillness, will be Charles de Temple's Medina. Born in Crete, Rica - Diallina is 23, and renowed as being one of Greece's outstanding beauties, she is an actress of unusual talent who, after many films in her native land, starred opposite Vittorio Gasman in Rome. Her latest film is Juiletta and the Spirits for Frederico Fellini, who sees great potential both in her beauty and in her ability. Mr. de Temple hopes to complete the sculpture by the end of 1966 when, together with a major collection of his works, Princess Medina will be exhibited throughout the world, in all major cities.
