1966 - Charlie Chaplin celebrating his 77th Birthday a day early on the set at Pinewood studios: Charlie Chaplin who will be too busy to take time off to celebrate his 77th birthday on Saturday was given a surprise party by the stars on the set at Pinewood Studios where he is making A Countess from Hong Kong which stars Marlon Brando, Sophia Loren, Sydney Chaplin (son of Charlie), and Tippi Hedren. They wheeled in a Giant Cake with the figure of Chaplin on top as he used to look in his films years ago. Photo shows Charlie cuts the head off the figure himself as he used to look in his films years ago to the amusement of L-R his daughter Victoria, 14, Sophia Loren, Sydney Chaplin, Tippi Hedren and her daughter Melanie
