Charlie Chaplin in the Old Kent Road, SE London

May 11, 1966 - Charlie Chaplin In The Old Kent Road. Charlie Chaplin finished shooting his new picture A Countess from Hong Kong yesterday - only a short way from the place in Southwark, London, where he was born 77 years ago. The final scenes were in a warehouse in the Old Kent Road, just two turnings from the Chaplin birthplace in East Street. Mr. Chaplin did not visit the street - he has done so already, alone. Photo Shows:- Charlie Chaplin, with his wife Oona, acknowledging his welcome in London's Old Kent Road yesterday
