Cherry blossom time in Tokyo, Japan

1976 - Cherry Blossom time in Japan.: High winds have blown early blossoms off the cherry trees in Tokyo this year, but sufficient remain to give the city a springtime atmosphere. It is the time for cherry blossom viewing, the dancing of traditional folklore steps and actions, with music from drums and bamboo flutes, and drinking sake and beer beneath the trees. Soon the double cherry blossoms will appear where they remain for week or ten days
