May 09, 1953 - Jungle will come to the ball; Chief Ladipo Solanke, of the Yoruba, goes into cabaret this season for one night. At the British Empire Society's Colonial Coronation Ball, to be held at Grosvenor House, London, on 9 June he will present his tribal dance team in ritual masks and costumes. A rehearsal was held today at the Imperial Institute. Photo Shows Little Yemisi, aged 9 months, joining in the music as Latifo Pedro plays a weird musical instrument, before Chief Solanke at today's rehearsal
