May 05, 1974 - Congress of the German Zithermusic-Organisation in Munich: For the first time since 1966 the Congress of the German Zithermusic-Organisation has taken place in the Bavarian regional capital. For three days one was trying hard to demonstrate in special and federal concerts, in a youth-zithermusic-contest, in reports and in a technical meeting with the theme The zither in our days the significance and the possibilities of this string instrument as well as the change of this permanent music-interpretation. The central point of interest was the I. youth-zithermusic-contest in which 40 contestants from Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Federal Republic of Germany participate. The youngest contestant - but already great in zithermusic - was Ingrid Baab, 8 years old, from Schongau who is playing (right in front) country music together other contestants
