Two children in uniform aboard HMS Victory, Portsmouth
Feb. 26 Youngest officer of the Queen Navy visits H.M.S. Victory at Portsmouth The spirit of Nelson is very much alive in the person of five year old Amanda Coppin of London. Ever since she could walk Amanda has been interested in the Navy and everything about it. Her mother made a tiny replica of a W.R.N.S. officer uniform which the little girl loves to wear. As a special treat Amanda was taken to Portsmouth where she was escorted over the famous H.M.S. Victory by smart little members of the Portsmouth Sea Cadets who told her all about what life was like when the vessel was Lord Nelson flagship. Keystone Photo Shows: Sea Cadet Edwin Cappelman enjoys the task of explaining all about the Victory and Nelson to Amanda Coppin aboard the famous vessel
