Feb. 29 Member of rock band Traffic - Chris Wood, saxophone and flute player, Age: 23 Born: Stourbridge, Worcestershire Educated at a private school in Birmingham. Studied painting at the Stourbridge Art School for two years, then another two years at Birmingham College of Art followed by a year at the Royal Academy, London. He left there to join Traffic. During his art school years Chris played the flute in a jazz band and later took up the saxophone in a rhythm and blues group. He no longer paints, but shares with Stevie an interest in historic buildings and nature
