Mar. 03, 1963 - Mystery Of The Vanished Model.. Jury Told - She Just Disappeared'.. Model - 21 year old Christine Keeler was found to be missing yesterday when the Old Bailey trial of a man accused of attempting to murder her began. The Jury was told - As far as the police are concerned, she has simply disappeared'. Salesman John Edgecombe -a 30 year old West Indian pleaded not guilty. he admitted that he fired half a dozen pistol shots at the door of the flat where Miss Keeler was visiting her friend - but he said he did not intend to hit her - only to frighten her.
