Dec. 16, 1985 - Tanzania Breaks With Britain - Tanzania broke off diplomatic relations with Britain last night, on the eve of British premier Harold Wilson's speech to the United Nations General Assembly in New York. President Julius Nyerere of Tanzania siad in a Dar Es-Salaam that a message he had recieved from Mr. Wilson about Britain's Policy on Rhodesia was as always ambiguous'. So Tanzania has decided to act in accordance with the Organization of African Unity's Ultimatum to mr. Wilson Calling for tougher Measures against Rhodesia. The ultimatum expired yesterday.
