May 05, 1979 - CHRISTOPHER ROBIN IS BACK IN POOH LAND. Seen standing on Pooh Bridge at Hartfield, immortalised by his father A.A. Milne, in his children's stories, is Christopher Milne. The bridge has just been reopened after repairs costing 1000. Christopher, the model for Christopher Robin in his father's stories, had not seen the bridge for 25 years. But he turned up for the opening ceremony - then played a nostalgic game of pooh-sticks with six year old JEANNIE CUTTING. They throw sticks into the stream below, and then run to the other side of the wooden bridge to see which stick floated out first
