Churchill's Hyde Park Gate home sold by auction

Oct. 10, 1965 - Sir Winston Churchill's Home Sold by Auction. The Home of Sir Winston Churchill at 28 Hyde Park Gate together with 27, Hyde Park Gate, was sold by auction today by Knight, Frank and Rutley, Britian's largest estate agents. Both properties were used by Sir Winston and his family and his staff for many years until his death earlier this year. The properties were sold for 102, 500 to Dr. Leonard Simpson Photo shows Dr. Leonard Simpson seen signing the contract after the auction this afternoon. On left is Mr. Peter Kearon, Assistant Anctioneer
