Churchill's Hyde Park Gate home sold by auction

Oct. 10, 1965 - Sir Winston Churchill's Home Sold By Auction.: The home of Sir Winston Churchill at 28, Hyde Park Gate together with 27 Hyde Park Gate, was sold by auction yesterday by Britain's largest estate agents, Kinght, Frank and Rutley. Both properties were used by Sir Winston and his family and his staff for many years until earlier this year. The properties were sold for 102, 500 to Dr. Leonard Simpson, medical consultant and chairman of Simpson's, the Piccadilly store.
