Jan. 01, 1956 - Cinderella'Wedding At Brighton: All last week in between shows, assistant stage manager, Laurence Noian, worked on Cinderella's golden coach. The stage manager had said Give Cinders coach a good clean and polish'. Yesterday 26-year old Larry, of Liverpool, married 21-year old Vida Paterson, of Romiley, Cheshire, who has been working as an usherette in the same theatre at Brighton for three months. When they left the church, expecting the taxi, Larry realised why his boss had had him working on the coach. for it was waiting for them, drawn by four white ponies and attended by costumed grooms and coachmen, waiting to take him and his bride to their reception. The company manager, Mr. Benny Godrey said: Only a few of the cast knew we had planned this surprise and they were sworn to secrecy. We cancelled the taxi at the last moment.
