Jun. 06, 1976 - An Indian Challenges Britain's Race Relations Laws: An Indian is challenging Britain race relations laws. He is advertising his shop for sale to a black family only. And he is just as defiant as Mr Robert Relf, the white man who spent 44 days in jail for contempt of court in refusing to take down a sign advertising his home For Sale To an English Family'. The Indian, Mr.nder Gheer, claims that he has been harrassed by police and white people in the Small Heath area of Birmingham. And he says that the Race Relations Board has ignored his allegations. Mr.Gheer's notice in his shop Business For Sale only For Black Family is to be Reported to the Board by Mr. Nicholas Winterton, Tony MP for Macclesfield, Cheshire, Mr. Gheer said would rather go to prison than take down the Sign'.
