Claire Ufland in dancing competition at age of 7
1971 - Inquest on Top of the Pops girl: The last words in the diary of the Top of the Pops girl, 15 year old Claire Ufland, were read out at the inquest at Watford today. She wrote I'm just a dreamer and none of my dreams will ever come true. I just can't face reality. I wish someone would really love me'. Stage struck Claire was found dead in her bedroom at her home in Bushey Mill Lane, Watford last week. Scotland Yard detectives investigating allegations of bribery and sex parties involving BBC disc jockeys were at the inquest.
