First celebration of Diamants awards for French song: At the Congress Palace, Took place the first Diamants awards for French song. 15 Diamants were offered to 15 artists. The jury was composed of 240 writing press critics, radio programmers, and producers of man, author, composer, orchestrator-arranger, best record sleeve, and technical realisation. 38 artists participated in this selection, among them, Sylvie Vartan, Yves Montand, Jean Ferrat, Bernard Lavilliers (French singers) 2nd from left to right, Claude Lelouch, producer of Les uns et les autres, Nicole Croisille who received the Diamant for the female interpretation, with her song I don't like when you go, Francis Lai, who received the Diamant for composer of the music-film Les uns et les autres, and Michel Legrand who received the Diamant for orchestrator-arranger for the same film
