Clock returns to Selfridges store, Oxford Street, London

Jan. 01, 1954 - Landmark Returns: The Oxford Street Landmark Selfridges clock, which was taken down to make way for Coronation decorations, was returned today. The clock is cast in bronze, overlaid with gold, polychrome and faience. The block of Portland stone, representing a ship's prow, weighs 15 tons. Bells and decorations add to the weight.
