Mar. 03, 1959 - Closed circuit television system installed at King's Cross Station, London. The internal closed circuit television system that has been demonstrated at a press conference this morning. The installation is an experiment to improve and speed up the supply of information to the public. Messages will be transmitted visually from the signal box to the station receiving units. Photo shows: Two views during the demonstration of the closed circuit TV at King's Cross. On left Mr JH Gorner, the Signal box Inspector, operates the transmitting unit - and on right how the message is received on a unit in the Inquiry office
