Dec. 12, 1953 - AMERICAN EXPERT ADVISES ON AFRICAN POWER PROJECT. Dr. Arthur Morgan, U.S. authority on hydro-electric projects responsible for the T.V.A. has been asked by the Government of the Gold Coast, the British African Colony that is moving rapidly toward self-government, to assist in the country's Volta River Project. the scheme calls for construction of a power station with a 2, 000-sq, mile reservoir. Its capacity of 564, 000 kilowatts will be used chiefly for the production of aluminium.
