Jun. 06, 1969 - ICRC commissionar August Lindt retreated Swiss Ambassador Dr. August Lindt, high commissionar of the International Committee of Red Cross for Western Africa, retreated from his functions as a responsible for the Red Cross aid in Nigeria and Diafra. Reason for his retreat is the fact, that the Nigerian government in Lagos declared him persona non grata, making so impossible for Mr. Lindt to assume his charge. OPS: Mr. Lindt giving a short press conference just after his arrival in Geneva
