Mar. 03, 1953 - Camera takes 50, 000 pictures a second: A camera claimed capable of taking 50, 000 pictures a second being developed for use in scientific research by the British Admiralty Research Laboratory, in conjunction with a Glasgow firm of optical instrument makers. The camera is of the drum type, in which the film remains stationary. Incorporating many different size lenses, glass prisms and reflecting mirrors, it uses 35mm. film at the rate of 10 feet for every 50, 000 pictures.
