May 05, 1955 - President of the Royal Academy tries on a Fancy Waistcoat: The Duchess of Portland helped the President of the Royal Academy - Professor Albert Richardson when he tried on an historic fancy waistcoat which had just been presented to him at the opening of the Embroiderer's Guild Exhibition in London.The waistcoat - an early Georgian floral creation was given to the guild by an August personage - about ten years ago.
