Oct. 10, 1957 - Opening of Ashmount Primary School. The L.C.C.'s new Ashmount Primary School, Islington, was opened by Mrs. Helen C. Bentwich, J.P. Places for 440 juniors and 200 infants, are provided in 15 classrooms and three general purpose rooms. The school came into use in January, 1957.
