Dec. 09 This American Professor of Philosophy has chosen a houseboat on the Seune to live and pursue his work: Alearned 70 year old American, Professor Ney Lannes Macminn became acquainted with France as a cambattant in 1914-18, and then as a student at the Faculte de Toulose. He always retained a certain nostalgia for it so after receiving a doctorate in philosophy in England, he bought a house boat in Holland and went to sttle in Paris on the Seine where his boat is moored near the Concorde. A specialist in social questions and especially of the Great English philosopher of the 16th century Thomas Morus, he is preparing a large work on the relations between the Utopias of the 16th century and modern marxism. Photo shows Ney Lannes Macminn on the deck of his housebaot. On his knees his favourite dog Buster
