Mothers Take Their Babies to Dress Making Classes. When the young mothers of Dover told Mr. G.H. Tweddell, head of the Dover Technical College that they could not attend the afternoon dress making classes because they could not get anybody to look after their children, he said bring the children with you'. This bold experiment has proved entirely satisfactory and now there are no shortage of recruits at the classes. Dover is the first college in the country to adopt the novel idea and now others may follow suit. At the moment the pupils include 16 mothers with children whose ages range from two months to four years. The classes are not as quiet as they used to be, but the noise doesn't worry the mothers, in fact they like it because it makes for homelier atmosphere. Mr. Tweddell says if there are any more recruits he will arrange additional classes for them on other afternoon next term'. Mrs. M.E. Waters can go ahead with the coat she is making for her little daughter, Janice, because Janice goes with her mother to the classes and is available for trying on. Helping her is Miss H.A.
