Feb. 25 The Schoolgirl midnight angels: Locally known as the midnight angels are a group of youngsters from the Moorhill Secondary School in Southampton. For these girls, aged around 15, are engaged on a project on down and outs and take it in turn to give up their Saturday nights to actually go out and help these unfortunate people. The girls help Church Army Captain Gordon Kitway, who tries to persuade tramps to live in the Hostel he runs in the city. The girls, who have permission from both their school and their parents go out each saturday night armed with hot soup, bread and cigarettes and scour the derelict houses of Southampton looking for tramps and vagrants and providing them with food and company
