Apr. 17 FIRST IN THE QUEUE AT THE SHOP WITH THE CROOKED DOOR: Boys of the King's School, Canterbury, have their own school tuck shop, like most public schoolboys. But, in keeping with the fact that King's Canterbury, is Britain's oldest public school - dating back to the early days of Christianity - it's Tuck shop is olde-tyme'. Even the doorway has dropped down the ages, and rather than have it rehung, it has been adapted. Through it countless generations of youngsters have streamed for its ices, lollipops, doughnuts and whatever happened to be the sweetmeat of the age
