Aug. 08, 1961 - The Deep Freeze boy starts school: Deep Freeze boy, Stephene Moore, started school yesterday at the Park Country Infant's School, Whitley Bay, Northamberland. He is the wonder boy, born on his mother's 23rd birthday. Nov. 18th, 1956 in Newcastle's General Hospital, as she lay in a deep freeze. His mother, Mrs. Ellen Moore, was crushed by a log which fell from a lorry while out shopping in 1956. She was given 48 hours to live, and there was slender hope for her unborn child. But doctors using modern Deep freeze techniques fought for that slender hope a new page is medical history was written. For, while Mrs. Moor lay unconscious for 168 days, baby Stephen was born normal and healthy. Photo shows Little Stephen clutches his mother's hand on their way to school his first day
