1963 - The Grose Verdienstkreuz mit Stern Des verdiens: (= great distinguished service medal with star of the distinguished service decoration) has been passed over today, April 30th in the Munich Stastskanzlei by Bavarian Prime-Minister Alfons Goppel to Prof.Dr. D.h.c. Karl Ritter Von Frisch (Frisch), because of bees. Prof. Frisch has been from 1910 till 1921 scientific assistant and privat-university lecturer at the Munich, university, after this university professor for zoology at the university Rostock, from 1923 till 1925 he has been working at the university Breslau. From 1925 till 1954 Prof. Frisch has been university professor at the university Munich. In between he has been at the university Graz (1946 - 50).
