Aug. 08, 1960 - Girl with a view: A student at London University, Bernadette Heakin, takes time off from study to examine an instrument that is a projector as well as a microscope. It was shown at an exhibition of British scientific instruments. Designed by a British firm the microscope is fitted with a transformer, iris diaphragm, triple nose-piece and condenser lens. If the screen is removed the microscope can be used to project the subject on the slide onto a screen up to six feet away
