Oct. 10, 1967 - Student Plan Six - Week Stay In House On Bed Of Sea: Members of the Imperial College, South Kensington, sub-aqua research group learning the techniques of under water photography yesterday in a mock-up of a20, 000 house to be built for exploration of the sea bed. The house, called Kraken after the sea monster in Tennyson's poem, is to be sunk 100ft. down 200 yards off the island of Kerrara, near Oban, Argyllshire, next summer. Results of the expedition may pave the way for building underwater villages in the North sea for use in prospecting for gas. The team hopes to spend six weeks in the house, making a survey of the sea bed, studying marine life and testing underwater equipment
