Jan. 26, 1971 - The 18th party congress of the Christian Democratic Union in Duseldorf.: In the beginning of the party congress of the CDU (Christian Democratic Union) in Dusseldorf (Germany) the leaders of the CDU and the CSU (Christian Social Union), Kiesinger and Straub spkoe impressively about their political cooperation which they are willing to intensify Kiesinger said that everybody who would even only think of a separation of both parties had also to face the thought that this would mean the end of the possibility for the CDU to become the leading party.
