Dec. 05, 1976 - 75th Birthday of Werner Heisenberg: 75 years ago, on December 5th 1901, professor Werner Heisenberg (picture) was born in Wursburg. The famous physicist had been a lecturer in Leipzig and Berlin before becoming the leader of the Max-Planck- Institute for Physics, first in Berlin (1941) and later in Gottingen; 1958 he went to Munich. Professor Werner Heisenberg set up the quantum mechanics together with M. Born and P. Jordan. His works advanced the quantum- and wave mechanics, nuclear Physics, Physics of cosmis rays and of elementary particles, the theory of superconductivity as well as the ferromagnetic. 1932 Werner Heisenberg was awarded the Nobel prize for physics. The Scientist died for February 1st 1976 in Munich
