1982 - Philosopher Jacques Derrida was arrested and imprisoned after customs agents in the Prague airport found drugs in his suitcase. However, according to the philosopher and the French authorities, the arrest was a political move to deter French intellectuals from visiting Poland, more than a reaction to what Derrida had in his suitcase.
